KBS2 is a South Korean public television broadcaster operated by KBS ( Korean Broadcasting System ). Compared to KBS1 , there are more entertainment programs and viewers are younger on average.

history

Actually, the station did not belong to KBS. It started as a private broadcaster DTV Seoul in 1964 . In the following year, the station was incorporated into the "Joongang Broadcasting System" and finally merged into TBC ( Tongyang Broadcasting Company ) in 1966 .

In 1980, however, TBC was forcibly merged with KBS by the then military government under Chun Doo-hwan , whereby KBS2 emerged from TBC TV.
