KK Svjetlost Brod is a basketball club from Slavonski Brod , Croatia . The club currently plays in the Croatian first division.
history
The association was founded in the second half of 1946. It was first called Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) which was more typical for a Serbian club. It can be assumed that this name was chosen on the basis of the communist principle.
In the course of time the name was changed several times to: BSK , Proleter , Oriolik , Oriolik Jasinje , Svjetlost- Oriolik , Svjetlost , Svjetlost - Brod before the name Svjetlost again .

At the moment their home games are played in the school sports hall in Brod . The district is called Little Paris .
