KSU is a Polish punk rock band that was founded in 1977 in Ustrzyki Dolne , the capital of the powiat Bieszczadzki .

history

Listening to western radio stations was decisive for starting a band. Influenced early by the Sex Pistols , their music changed more towards Black Sabbath , Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin , of which KSU also played Polish covers.

Since the band appeared very critical of the Polish state (and continues to do so) its members were arrested again and again or threatened by the police, which also led to a large loss of members and exchanges within the band. The only permanent member of the band is frontman Eugeniusz Olejarczyk.

KSU is one of the most influential Polish rock bands today.
