KSYME-CMRC (founded 1979 in Athens ) was founded by Iannis Xenakis , Giannis Papaioannou and Stephanos Vassiliadis with the aim of establishing electroacoustic music in Greece. Stephanos Vassiliadis held the management function until 2004 . The KSYME-CMRC (Contemporary Music Research Center) cooperates with the National Technical University of Athens as well as with Columbia and Princeton University . In addition to events , they also develop numerous school materials for music lessons. An important project is the restoration and work with the EMS Synthi 100 , a rare analog synthesizer that was manufactured in 1971 in a limited edition by the Electronic Music Studios in London. A series of four works (by Panos Alexiadis, Jonas Broberg, Marinos Koutsomichalis and Lisa Stenberg) as well as the instrument itself were exhibited at documenta 14 .
