KTLK "The Patriot" is a conservative, commercial talk radio broadcaster based in Minneapolis , Minnesota . The station primarily supplies the Minneapolis and St. Paul metropolitan areas ("Twin Citys") with shows from Premiere Networks . In addition to individual programs produced in-house, programs by Rush Limbaugh , Sean Hannity , Glenn Beck , Joe Pags and Coast to Coast AM with George Noory are broadcast. The station's slogan is "Twin Cities News Talk - Because Minnesota deserves the truth."

KTLK belongs to the channel family of the industry leader iHeartMedia . Along with KFI , KTLK is one of the strongest medium wave transmitters from iHeartMedia on the Minnesota market; In addition, the company owns a number of other FM stations and dominates the important radio market of the " Twin Cities " (15th place in the US Top 100 ranking).

KTLK is the oldest radio station in Minnesota and went on the air on December 23, 1923 as KFMT .

KTLK changed its broadcast color to a strictly conservative talk radio with the start of the Rush Limbaugh Show on the station. Limbaugh had switched from the powerful Clear Channel station KFI to the weaker sister station KTLK ("its weaker-signaled sister station" Bryan Lowry).
