The ART Magazine was a German, nationwide magazine that from 2006 to 2013 about art themes and exhibitions reported.

The ART Magazine was established in April 2006 as ART Magazine Berlin founded by Jennifer Becker in Berlin. For the first four years, the content of the magazine related almost exclusively to Berlin . The magazine was initially published in A6 format until February 2007 , and in A5 format from the March 2007 issue . In January 2010 the name was changed to KUNST Magazin . With the December 2013 edition, the publication was discontinued.

Before it was discontinued, KUNST Magazin appeared with ten issues per year (double issues: Jul./Aug. And Dec./Jan.) And a monthly circulation of 40,000 copies. The sales area was Germany , German-speaking Switzerland and Austria , with the magazine being published in both German and English . The magazine was mainly distributed in hotels, galleries , museums and academies.

Content and topics

The front half of KUNST Magazin contained editorial contributions such as articles, interviews with artists and collectors, and book reviews . In the back part, however, current exhibitions were presented. From 2007 onwards, every issue had a thematic focus, such as taboo (03/08), dignity (02/09) or vision (02/10). From February 2010 one gallery was also presented.

From 2010 onwards, KUNST Magazin organized a monthly collector's talk in Berlin. Guests of this series were u. a. Thomas Rusche , Thomas Olbricht and Christiane zu Salm . The collector's talks were moderated by Jan Kage . The collector's talks were published in book form in 2013.
