Kuy
Kuy (also Soui, Kuay; Khmer : ភាសា គួយ , Thai : ภาษา กุย ) is one of the Katu languages that belong to the Austro-Asian languages .
Kuy is one of the most important languages in the Mon Khmer language family . She is spoken in
- Thailand (northeast, Isan , around 400,000 speakers; the vast majority are (at least) bilingual and also speak Lao / Isan , Thai and / or northern Khmer )
- Laos ( Salavan , Savannakhet and Sekong provinces , about 42,800 speakers)
- Cambodia (northeastern provinces of Preah Vihear , Stung Treng and Kampong Thom , around 10,000 speakers; most of the 37,700 ethnic Kuy in Cambodia now speak Khmer )
