The KWTV transmission mast (also known as Griffin Television Tower Oklahoma or Griffin Transmission Tower Oklahoma ) was a 480.5 meter high guyed transmission mast for broadcasting VHF radio programs in Oklahoma City , Oklahoma, USA.
At the time of its completion in 1954, the KWTV transmission mast was the tallest structure in the world . Two years later, after the completion of the KOBR transmitter mast in Caprock, New Mexico, USA, it was relegated to second place.
Today there are several other transmission masts of comparable height around Oklahoma City.
The KWTV transmission mast was demolished in 2014.
