The KOBR transmission mast is a 490.7 meter high transmission mast near Caprock in the US state of New Mexico .
It was built in 1956 and was the tallest structure in the world until 1959 . In 1960 it was destroyed in a storm and then rebuilt.
Since the completion of the 560-meter-high KBIM transmission tower near Roswell in 1965, it has been the second tallest structure in New Mexico.
