KXTG is a sports radio station based in Portland , Oregon . The station is owned by Alpha Media and broadcasts on medium wave 750 kHz.
history
The station broadcast its first signal under the callsign "KXL" on December 13, 1926 from the top floor of the Mallory Hotel in Portland. The broadcast began with a concert by the Mallory Orchestra. The following year, the station moved into the Rose Studio in the Bedell Building .
In 2011, after 85 years, the station changed its callsign to KXTG and has since taken over programs from NBC Sports Radio .
