Ruth Fuehrer

Ruth Fuehrer (born September 20, 1902 in Königsberg , † July 22, 1966 in Gmunden ) was a German theologian and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Führer passed his Abitur in Königsberg in 1922 and then studied Protestant theology in Leipzig, Bethel, Rostock and Königsberg until 1927. In 1926 she was awarded a Lic. Theol. PhD. The title was given to Dr. theol. transformed.

In 1927 she became city vicar and in 1928 hospital pastor in Meiningen, where she was ordained in 1929 . In 1932 she became head of the mothers' school of Protestant women's work in Potsdam, in 1936 secretary of Protestant women's work in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse and in 1942 head of the catechetical office at the consistory in Königsberg, from 1943 as a church councilor. After the expulsion she became a hospital priest in Berlin in 1945 and in 1946 clerk for Protestant women's work in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. In 1948 she became vicar of the city in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse and in 1949 she became a hospital pastor in Ludwigshafen. Even after she retired in 1945, she provided substitute services and lectured and wrote.

politics

In 1933 she became a member of the National Socialist Women's Association. In 1945 she joined the CDU. For this she was from June 4, 1947 until her resignation on January 3, 1949 a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . In the state parliament she was a member of the refugee committee. The successor was Julius Pieper .
