Julius Pieper

Julius Pieper (born February 18, 1882 in Meiderich ; † February 11, 1959 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse ) was a German entrepreneur and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Pieper attended elementary school and did a mechanical engineering apprenticeship. He did his military service in the navy, where he resigned as chief mate. From 1903–1905 he worked in smelting works before studying mechanical engineering and boiler construction at the technical center in Bingen from 1905–1908. In 1907 he passed the master craftsman and engineer examination and was an engineer in Duisburg from 1908 to 1909. 1909–1912 he worked as an engineer in Mannheim. In 1912 and 1916 he bought two factories in Ludwigshafen and Neustadt respectively and managed these operations until 1945. From 1945 to 1947 he was presidential director at the Hesse-Palatinate regional council and from 1947 to 1949 as provincial director at the provincial government of the Palatinate .

After 1933 he was a member of the NSV . In 1945 he was briefly appointed district administrator of the Neustadt district. On December 11, 1945, the motto of the ZSK Neustadt was: Leave in service.

After 1945 he was a member of the Neustadt City Council. From January 19, 1949 (as a replacement for Ruth Fuehrer ) to July 10, 1950, he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . In the state parliament he was a member of the border region committee, budget and finance committee and the economic and transport committee.
