Hanns Haberer (born May 28, 1890 in Bruchmühlbach , † November 29, 1967 in Deidesheim ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Haberer completed a university degree, which he completed with a doctorate. Until 1933 he was editor-in-chief of the Duisburg center newspaper Echo vom Niederrhein . During the time of National Socialism , Haberer was banned from working; During this time he operated viticulture in the in- laws winery in Deidesheim. From 1951 to 1961 he was deputy president of the Rhineland-Palatinate regional association of the German Forest Protection Association .

Political party

After the Second World War , Haberer co-founded the CDP in 1945 , which later became the regional association of the CDU Rhineland-Palatinate . He belonged to the first party directorate that was formed with the founding of the CDU in the occupation province of "Hesse-Palatinate" (consisting of the provinces of Rheinhessen and the Palatinate).

Public offices

Haberer was initially district administrator for the Neustadt district in 1945/46 . From December 3, 1946 to June 13, 1947, he was Minister of Economics and Finance in the government of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate led by Prime Minister Wilhelm Boden . From 1947 to 1955 he was State Secretary, Head of the State Chancellery in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Peter Altmeier .
