Hans Georg Dahlgrün

Hans Georg Dahlgrün (born December 21, 1901 in Salzwedel ; † July 6, 1974 in Speyer ) was a German lawyer , administrative officer and politician .

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Dahlgrün studied law at the universities in Kiel , Leipzig and Munich . It was 1927, the second state examination, doctorate on Dr. jur. and then entered the financial administration as a civil servant. From 1936 to 1945 he worked for the Reich Ministry of Finance . As such, he held a position in the finance department of Reichsstatthalter Westmark / head of the civil administration in Lorraine, initially as a senior government councilor, and from 1942 as a ministerial councilor .

After the Second World War, Dahlgrün worked from July to October 1945 as the head of the finance and forestry department at the mayor Hermann Heimerich in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse . Because of his work before 1945 he had to resign from this office. He then moved to the Ministry of Finance and Reconstruction of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate . In 1948 he was appointed ministerial conductor. From 1952 to 1958 he was President of the Rhineland-Palatinate Court of Auditors . At the same time, from 1954 to 1957, he was entrusted with the administration of the State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation . From 1959 to 1969 he was President of the State Central Bank of Rhineland-Palatinate.

Hans Georg Dahlgrün was the older brother of the politician and Federal Minister of Finance Rolf Dahlgrün .

politics

Dahlgrün had not belonged to any party. After Wilhelm Nowack's resignation , on November 11, 1958, he took over the management of the Ministry of Finance and Reconstruction in the government of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate led by Prime Minister Peter Altmeier . On May 19, 1959, he was replaced in this position by Fritz Glahn .
