Seat
The first seat of the Ministry of Finance, Economy and Reconstruction was the former Royal Prussian Teachers' Seminar in Koblenz . With the relocation of the state government to Mainz, the Ministry of Finance moved into a building at Neubrunnenstrasse 2, today Mainzer Volksbank, at the beginning of 1951 . Parts of the ministry were housed in the Stadioner Hof ( Große Bleiche 15) and in the State Building Department (Schillerstraße 9). The accommodation of all departments became possible in 1964. Together with other ministerial buildings at Kaiser-Friedrich-Strasse 1, the new office building for the Ministry of Finance was built in the new government district. With the increase in tasks and personnel, the office building had also become too narrow. In the course of the redesign of the government district, an extension for the Ministry of Finance was realized. The building with the main front facing Bauhofstrasse bears the address Kaiser-Friedrich-Strasse 5. The company moved into in the summer of 1998.
