You + Me is a music project by the US rock singer Alecia Moore alias Pink and the Canadian folk musician Dallas Green alias City and Color .

Band history

Alecia Moore and Dallas Green met through Moore's husband Carey Hart and are long-time friends. Moore once appeared as a guest on a show by Green and the Canadian was already there as support on an England tour of the singer. Both had thought about music together beforehand and exchanged ideas. After Moore had finished their tour after their sixth album The Truth About Love , the two found time for a joint project in early 2014. In a short time they wrote nine songs with acoustic folk-pop for the album and recorded them together with a cover version of No Ordinary Love by Sade in a small rented studio in Los Angeles. The album is named after Rose Avenue in Venice , where this studio is located.

In September, the first song You and Me went to the radio stations in advance, followed by Break the Cycle as the second song . The album Rose Ave. then appeared in mid-October and rose to number one in Canada . It reached the top ten in the USA and many European countries.
