The Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Justice is a supreme state authority based in the state capital Mainz . In addition to the State Chancellery, it is one of the nine ministries of the state government of Rhineland-Palatinate . The current incumbent is Herbert Mertin (FDP), supported by Philipp Fernis as State Secretary .

Seat
The seat of the ministry is at Ernst-Ludwig-Str. 3 in the state capital Mainz. From December 1946 to October 1950 the authority was in Stresemannstrasse. 3–5 housed in Koblenz. In November 1950 the office moved to the current building in Mainz. From May 2014 to October 2015, the Ministry was due to renovation work at the headquarters in Diether-von-Isenburg-Str. 1 in Mainz.
