The Social Court Speyer is a social justice court . The court is one of four social courts in Rhineland-Palatinate and has its seat in Speyer .

history

The Social Court Speyer was founded on January 1, 1954 with its seat in the Villa Kirrmeier-Ecarius and a branch in Mainz and succeeded the Speyer Insurance Office . On July 1, 1971, the court moved to the building currently in use at Schubertstrasse 2, which had previously been used by the State Audit Office. In 2015 this building was extended by an extension.

Judicial district and higher courts

The social court Speyer is local for the independent cities Frankenthal (Pfalz) , Kaiserslautern , Landau in der Pfalz , Ludwigshafen am Rhein , Neustadt an der Weinstrasse , Pirmasens , Speyer and Zweibrücken as well as the districts Bad Dürkheim , Donnersbergkreis , Germersheim , Kaiserslautern , Kusel , Südliche Weinstrasse , Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis and Südwestpfalz responsible. The factual jurisdiction results from the Social Court Act .

At the state level, the State Social Court of Rhineland-Palatinate in Mainz is the higher-level court. The Federal Social Court in Kassel is superordinate to this.
