The Landau regional court in der Pfalz is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of four regional courts in the district of the Zweibrücken Higher Regional Court , one of the two Higher Regional Court districts of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate (together with the Koblenz Higher Regional Court ). It is based in Landau . Both the district court and the district court of Landau in der Pfalz are located in the Marienring 13 courthouse.
Judicial district
The judicial district of the Landau district court includes the districts of the district courts of Germersheim , Kandel and Landau . Approx. 273,000 inhabitants live in the district court.
The head of the authority is Ulrike Müller-Rospert, who was appointed President of the Regional Court on January 1, 2012.
The head of the media department is Robert Schelp, the vice-president of the court.
Personnel and structure
The number of panels is five civil chambers , five criminal chambers (including one for youth matters) and a penal enforcement chamber . There is also a chamber for commercial matters . In the Commercial Chamber of six acting through the Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection Rhineland-Palatinate in Mainz in volunteering appointed commercial judges with. 94 lay judges are also active in the administration of criminal justice. 17 judges , three legal clerks , nine probation officers (including one part-time employee), eleven law enforcement officers and 21 employees in the service area and data processing (including part-time employees) work full-time at the regional court . In addition, the “Justice Social Service” has been set up at the regional court with branches in Bad Bergzabern and Germersheim.
history
In April 1816, the entire Palatinate was ceded by Austria to the Kingdom of Bavaria in a state treaty . The district and later district court of Landau in der Pfalz, founded in 1817, was converted into a regional court in 1879 by the German Courts Constitution Act. With the establishment of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate on 30 August 1946 this country is legal support of the District Court Landau.
