The Ministry of Finance and for Europe ( MDFE ) in Brandenburg is the Ministry of Finance of the State of Brandenburg with its seat in Potsdam and one of its nine ministries . Katrin Lange ( SPD ) has been finance minister in the Woidke III cabinet since November 20, 2019 . State Secretary for Finance is Frank Stolper , State Secretary for Europe Jobst-Hinrich Ubbelohde .
history
In the first government of what was then the province of Brandenburg ( Cabinet Steinhoff I ), formed in 1945, no ministries existed. The 4th Vice President Georg Remak was responsible for finances, who was replaced by Frank Schleusener in 1945 . From the government that followed in 1946, a finance ministry existed until the state of Brandenburg was dissolved in 1952.
In order to re-establish the state of Brandenburg in 1990, the Ministry of Finance was also re-established. In 2019 it was assigned the area of "European affairs" and has since operated under its current name.
