The Lower Saxony Ministry for Federal and European Affairs and Regional Development is one of ten state ministries in the state of Lower Saxony with its seat in Hanover . It was set up as a new ministry after the state elections in Lower Saxony in 2017 , minister is Birgit Honé , State Secretary Matthias Wunderling-Weilbier .

tasks

The tasks include representing the state of Lower Saxony at the federal level and the European Union , for which a department of the ministry is responsible for each. The minister is also the representative of the state of Lower Saxony at the federal level, the representation of the state of Lower Saxony at the federal level acts as a department of the ministry. The ministry is also responsible for the country's regional development and, associated with it, for providing EU funding.
