The University of Applied Sciences for Finance Brandenburg (short name: FHF, also outdated FHS in use) in Königs Wusterhausen is one of the universities of the public service in the state of Brandenburg . At the university and in training tax offices (dual studies), students are prepared for the civil service career of the higher service in the tax administration. The students complete the preparatory service within the framework of a civil servant relationship, i.e. they are employed and receive a salary as a candidate. Due to the training in the dual diploma course , the students at the University of Applied Sciences for Finance acquire a diploma despite the Bologna process .

history

The university was established on July 1, 1991 by the Brandenburg Ministry of Finance and, together with the state finance school and the advanced training center of the financial administration of the state of Brandenburg, was given the joint location in Königs Wusterhausen. The campus was henceforth called the Königs Wusterhausen Education Center .

Since September 1, 1999, the state of Brandenburg has also been training junior staff for the middle and upper-level service from the state of Saxony-Anhalt in Königs Wusterhausen based on a cooperation agreement. The State of Berlin joined this agreement on September 1, 2002 for candidates for the senior civil service. The candidates for the middle service of the state of Berlin have been trained since September 1st, 2006 in Königs Wusterhausen at the state finance school.

By merging the Judicial Academy and the National Academy of Public Administration, the School of Finance, the State Financial School and the Training Center of the tax authorities on a common site in King Wusterhausen was educational center of the financial management Koenigs Wusterhausen in 2008 into the education and training center Koenigs Wusterhausen ( short: AFZ Königs Wusterhausen) renamed. In 2015 the university recorded a new high with 600 enrolled students from the states of Brandenburg, Berlin, Saxony-Anhalt and the Federal Central Tax Office. In addition, around 650 other students studied at the state finance school. With more than 1,200 people, both educational institutions were fully occupied.

Education

General

A three-year study of tax law takes place at the University of Applied Sciences for Finance . The students spend a total of 23 months on specialist studies. Since the three-year course is divided into study and practical phases at tax offices, the students spend the remaining 13 months in the training tax office assigned to them. The course concludes with the academic degree of Diplom-Finanzwirt (FH) .
