The University of Applied Sciences for Sport and Management Potsdam ( FHSMP ) of the European Sport Academy Land Brandenburg (ESAB) is a university of applied sciences in Potsdam , which aims to enable (young) competitive athletes and those interested in sports to pursue a career in sports or the sporting environment. History and profile
The University of Applied Sciences for Sport and Management Potsdam started teaching in the 2009/10 winter semester . The operator and sponsor is the Europäische Sportakademie Land Brandenburg gGmbH , which is the educational provider of the Landessportbund Brandenburg (LSB). In addition, the FHSMP is the only university under the umbrella of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB). As a non-profit organization, no commercial goals are pursued. Education
The Bachelor of Arts course takes place as a dual course of study . University studies are combined with in-company vocational training and DOSB licenses can be acquired without additional costs . In addition to their studies, the students learn and work an average of 20 hours a week in a training company in the sports or health sector or as part of projects at different practice locations.
