The XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences (short XU Exponential University ) is a fully accredited, private college ( tight. University of Applied Sciences ), based in Potsdam . The university is supported by the XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences GmbH .
history
In 2017, the application for recognition as a university by the State of Berlin for the XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences was initially rejected by the Senate Administration. Christopher Jahns , former president of the EBS University of Economics and Law , had planned to start teaching with five courses in the 2017/18 winter semester .
The University of Applied Sciences was officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg on December 18, 2018 . The accreditation continued to be carried out by the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ZEvA). The XU Exponential University started studying in April 2019. Uwe Eisermann was the founding president of the university . In November 2019, neither Eisermann nor any other person was named as president or rector by the university.
Education
Studies at the XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences are offered either full-time or part -time and supplemented by additional digital learning units. Studies at the University of Applied Sciences should be geared towards digitization and technology . Different e-learning models, e.g. based on podcasts , are offered. One of the lecturers is XING founder Lars Hinrichs .
Studies at the University of Applied Sciences are financed through tuition fees , known as study fees. The XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences also has a scholarship program called Drive. The amount of the scholarships awarded is not announced.
Accredited bachelor's programs that started in the summer semester 2019 were Digital Business ( Bachelor of Science , B.Sc.), Coding & Software Engineering (Bachelor of Science, B.Sc.) and Digital Marketing and Social Media . In the 2019/20 winter semester , Industry 4.0 and Data Science and the master’s courses in Digital Business ( Master of Science ), Industry 4.0 ( Master of Engineering ) and Data Science (Master of Science) are due to begin. In the 2019/20 winter semester, five bachelor's or master's degree programs will be offered: Digital Business, Digital Marketing and Social Media, Coding and Software Engineering, Data Science and Industry 4.0. The university also offers a Master of Arts degree in digital transformation management.
The partner of the university is the Klett Group .

The XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences is based in the Babelsberg district of Potsdam . Studies take place in Studio 5 on the premises of the Babelsberg Film Studios and the Babelsberg Film Park .
