Mauro Racca (born April 3, 1912 in Turin , † April 27, 1977 in Padua ) was an Italian saber fencer .
successes
Mauro Racca was world champion with the team in Piešťany in 1938 , in Lisbon in 1947 , in Cairo in 1949 and in Monte Carlo in 1950 . 1951 in Stockholm and 1953 in Brussels each followed a second place in the team competition. He took part in two Olympic Games in the saber competitions: in 1948 in London with the Italian team he finished second behind Hungary and received the silver medal together with Gastone Darè , Aldo Montano , Renzo Nostini , Vincenzo Pinton and Carlo Turcato . At the Olympic Games in 1952 , he moved with the team again in the final round, which he finished with her one more time behind Hungary in second place. In addition to Racca, Gastone Darè, Renzo Nostini, Giorgio Pellini , Vincenzo Pinton and Roberto Ferrari won the silver medal.
