Giorgio Pellini (born July 20, 1923 in Livorno ; † June 14, 1986 there ) was an Italian fencer .

successes

Giorgio Pellini has been with the Foil team in 1949 in Cairo and in 1950 in Monte Carlo champion and 1947 in Lisbon and 1951 in Stockholm runner-up. In singles he won his only medal in 1949 in Cairo with silver. He took part in two Olympic Games : at the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he reached the final round unbeaten with the team, in which the Italian team won all games except against France and thus finished second. In addition to Edoardo Mangiarotti , Saverio Ragno , Manlio Di Rosa , Giuliano Nostini and Renzo Nostini , he received the silver medal. In 1952 he repeated this success in Helsinki with the foil team, which this time included Giancarlo Bergamini , Edoardo Mangiarotti, Renzo Nostini, Manlio Di Rosa and Antonio Spallino . Once again, only the French team proved to be too strong. Pellini also took second place with the Saber team and took silver behind Hungary with Gastone Darè , Roberto Ferrari , Renzo Nostini, Vincenzo Pinton and Mauro Racca .
