Bruchmühlbach is the largest part of the local community Bruchmühlbach-Miesau in the Kaiserslautern district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

Bruchmühlbach is located in the Landstuhler Bruch . The Glan flows north of the settlement area . Immediately to the west is the neighboring village of Vogelbach. The place includes the residential areas Auf dem Bergfeld, Belzmühle, Tausendmühle and Bruchwiesenhof. The Frohnbach and the Mühlbach , both of which flow into the Glan, graze the eastern edge of the settlement .

From 1798 to 1862 the place belonged to the canton Landstuhl . From 1816 he was also part of the Kingdom of Bavaria . On October 1st, 1938, Mühlbach was incorporated into Bruchmühlbach in Bruch . In the same year the place was incorporated into the district of Kaiserslautern . After the Second World War , Bruchmühlbach became part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate within the French occupation zone . In the course of the first Rhineland-Palatinate administrative reform, the neighboring town of Vogelbach was incorporated into Bruchmühlbach. Three years later Bruchmühlbach was merged with the neighboring community of Miesau to form the new local community of Bruchmühlbach-Miesau .
Infrastructure
Since 1858 the place has had a train station on the Palatine Ludwig Railway , from which the Mannheim – Saarbrücken railway later emerged. While it was called Bruchmühlbach in the first decades of its existence , it is now called Bruchmühlbach-Miesau . Kaiserstraße also runs through the middle of the settlement area in an east-west direction . The federal motorway 6 runs north of the village . A total of seven objects are listed on site .
