Ka-night ...

Pyramid N20 from Ka-Nacht ... in Meroe

Ka-Nacht [...] was a Nubian king.

Ka-Nacht ... (his name is not completely preserved) is only known from his pyramid Beg N20 in Meroe . This building is stylistically dated to the 1st century BC. There his name was found on a scattered block. It is a name of Horus . The classification of the Ka-Nacht ... therefore causes problems. The name of Horus is not known of many Meroitic rulers and no pyramid can be assigned to them with certainty, so that the possibility cannot be ruled out that Ka-Nacht ... is identical to one of these kings. Naqyrjinsan ... e.g. B. is regarded as its predecessor, as its pyramid was next to that of Ka-Nacht ... Naqyrjinsan ... but is only known from the fragment of a sacrificial tablet that was found in the neighboring pyramid. However, this sacrificial tablet may also have been carried off so that Naqyrjinsan ... and Ka-Nacht ... could have been the same ruler. Also of Tanyidamani , Aqrakamani , Teriteqas , all of which probably date to the 1st century BC, no Horus names are known and no pyramid can be assigned to them. The otherwise last Nubian ruler with a known Horus name is Arqamani .
