The sequence of events that led to the verdict was presented in court as follows. Together with her brother, she wanted to rob her victim Aysel Malseven of gold jewelry, a Beşibirlik gold coin that Malseven wore as a necklace, four bracelets and a gold ring. She forced her victim to drink the insecticide folidol. When the victim vomited the poison, the brother killed Malseven with the knife. Partici was sentenced to death on May 13, 1969 by the Grand Criminal Chamber in Manisa . Her brother was also sentenced to death. The judgment was confirmed by the Court of Cassation on December 18, 1969 and, after confirmation by Parliament, carried out. Kadriye Partici was hanged in Izmir on July 25, 1971.

The execution of the sentence is related to the military coup in Turkey in 1971 . Before the coup, no death sentences had been carried out since 1964.
