Kai Romhardt

Kai Romhardt (* 1967 in Hamburg ) is an economist , author , management consultant and Buddhist teacher in the tradition of Thích Nhât Hanh .

Life

Romhardt studied economics in Germany and Switzerland and worked as a management consultant.

After a life crisis, he met the Buddhist teacher Thích Nhât Hanh in 2001 and lived for 2 years in the international meditation center and monastery Plum Village .

Romhardt married in 2003 and lives in Berlin with his wife and son.

In 2004 Romhardt founded the network Mindful Economy together with students of the Buddhist teacher Thích Nhât Hanh , which has been a registered association in Germany since 2015. The association sees itself as a platform for people who are looking for sensible alternatives to today's economic system and are interested in topics such as mindfulness at work, consumption and dealing with money. The network meets the self-employed, managers, entrepreneurs and other business people who practice mindfulness and meditation themselves and who want to seek and promote a connection with business life. There are regional and initiative groups of the network in Germany and Austria.
