Kai Vogeley

Kai Vogeley (* 1963 ) is a German doctor and university professor.

Kai Vogeley studied medicine and philosophy in Düsseldorf , London and Baltimore . He holds a PhD in Medicine and Philosophy. In 2000 and 2001 he received the specialist certification for neurology , psychiatry and psychotherapy . In 2003 he received the license to teach psychiatry and psychotherapy. In 2004 he was appointed university professor at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University Clinic in Cologne.

His scientific work focuses on social neuroscience (theory of mind, change of perspective, non-verbal communication), neurobiological foundations of autism and schizophrenia , philosophy of neuroscience and psychiatry .

Kai Vogeley was chairman of the Society for Cognitive Science from 2014 to 2016 .
