Kaiser is an impact crater in the south of the front of the moon , southeast of the Mare Nubium , north of the Stöfler crater and southeast of Walther . The rim of the crater is heavily eroded, the interior largely flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Dutch astronomer Frederik Kaiser .
