Emperor Heinrichs Romfahrt is a popular name for the Italian expedition of King Henry VII in the years 1310 to 1313. Heinrich wanted to achieve the dignity of emperor and thus achieve a renewal of the empire ( Restauratio imperii ).

In a broader sense, it is also the name of a late medieval illuminated manuscript, which was probably made around 1340 on behalf of Baldwin of Luxembourg , Archbishop of Trier and Heinrich's younger brother. This Codex Balduini consists of 37 parchment leaves. These are provided with brief Latin remarks and record numerous moments of the government, but above all Heinrich's moves to Rome. The manuscript also contains the first known representation of the Electoral College . The colored illuminated manuscript is an important source for the imperial history of the late Middle Ages and at the same time a unique representation of Henry VII's move to Rome. It is kept in the Koblenz State Main Archive under the signature 1 C 1.
