The Kaiserin Augusta Bay ( English Empress Augusta Bay ) is a large sea ​​bay in front of the Torokina district of the island of Bougainville , in Papua New Guinea .

The bay was named Kaiserin-Augusta-Bucht after Augusta von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach , the wife of Kaiser Wilhelm I , at the time the island Bougainville belonged to the German colony German New Guinea and kept this name in anglicised form.
