Kaitlyn Ashley (* 29. June 1971 as Kelly Hoffman in Fort Lauderdale , Florida ) is an American porn actress .

Career

Kaitlyn Ashley is of German and Italian descent. She and her husband Jay Ashley began their careers with the film Beach Bum Amateurs 32 when Jay Ashely returned from Somalia after eight months as a Marine and they moved to California in April 1993 .

Kaitlyn was active in the industry from 1993 to 1997. She cites Nina Hartley and Debi Diamond as counselors throughout her career. In 1994 she made her first porn film American Blonde directed by Paul Thomas with Janine Lindemulder .

The director Alex Sanders wrote a screenplay for her in 1995 for the film Dear Diary , because he was convinced of her acting skills. The film was released by Wicked Pictures and Alex Sanders and Jeanna Fine received awards for best supporting roles alongside Ashley's lead role.

In 1994 she received the AVN Award for Best Supporting Actress in the porn western Shame , in which she played alongside Leena . In 1995 she was offered a contract with VCA Pictures . In 1996 she received the most important AVN Award for Female Performer of the Year . In 1997 she divorced Jay Ashley and had a relationship with the DJ at a strip club she worked for. The DJ can be seen with her in the film The Private Diary of Tori Welles . This was one of her last films before she retired in 1997 and moved to Tennessee to raise her child.

Kaitlyn was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2001.
