Kajak is a German pop band from Hamburg .

history

The band was founded in 1999 by the brothers Andreas Reth and Matthias Rothaug from Bad Salzuflen after they had previously played in numerous Hamburg bands. In Bad Salzuflen, they worked for the bands Der Fremde and Time Twisters from the environment of the Fast Worldwide label. In 2002 Kajak released their first album Haus der Jugend . In 2003 Andreas Reth left the band, Matthias Rothaug then continued to work alone. The album Tief Drinnen - Weit Draußen was released on February 17th, 2006.
