The Kakarditsa ( Greek Κακαρδίτσα , ( f. Sg. )) Is called the highest part of the Tzoumerka Mountains, to the north of which it belongs. The highest peak rises to 2429  m above sea level . This point lies between the places Melissourgoi (Μελισσουργοί Άρτας) and Athamania (Αθαμανία Τρικάλων). Further peaks are: Katarachias (Καταραχιάς, 2299  m ), Chiliaexinta (Χίλια εξήντα - 1600, 2253  m ), Tsoura Plastari (Τσούμα Πλαστάρι, 2188  m), Kryakouras (Κρυάκουρας, 2100  m ), Fourka (Φούρκα, 2100  m ), Katafygi (Καταφύγι - refuge, 2098  m ) and Variko (Βαρικό, 2007  m ). The Kakarditsa is separated from the northern Lakmos by the gorges of Negri (Νέγκρη) and Monodendri (Μονοδέντρι), while a mountain saddle connects it to the Baro (Μπάρο). The Melissourgitiko Potamos (Μελισσουργιώτικο ποτάμος) separates them from the part of the Tzoumerka further south .

With regard to some geographical aspects, the kakarditsa has a special position. Therefore, in some works it is not considered part of the tsoumerka.

Locations within the Kakarditsa are Kalarrytes (Καλαρρύτες Ιωαννίνων) Matsouki (Ματσούκι Ιωαννίνων) Melissourgi (Μελισσουργοί Άρτας) Gardiki (Γαρδίκι Τρικάλων) and Athamania (Αθαμανία Τρικάλων).
