Kalandshofen

Kalandshofen is a residential area in the Hanseatic city of Osterburg (Altmark) in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

Kalandshofen, a small farm, is located three kilometers north of Osterburg and 2½ kilometers southwest of Dobbrun in the lowland of the Biese , which flows north to the east of the village. The Kalandsgraben flows to the west.

history

The farm is recorded for the first time on the measuring table sheet from 1932.

Kalandshofen grassland area

The area north of Osterburg and east of the Osterburg – Seehausen railway line is known as the Kalandshofen grassland area . In 2011 the Biesealtarm Osterburg south of the Kalandshofen farm was renatured.
