The Kalga ( Russian Ка́лга ) is a river in the north of the Republic of Karelia in Russia .
It is one of the two outflows of Lake Engosero . It leaves the Engosero at its southeastern end and flows for 59 km in a predominantly eastern direction and flows into the Kalgalakscha Bay and the White Sea . It flows through seven lakes on its route: Pestschanoje, Porigosero, Pirtosero, Werchneie Ambarnoje, Sredneie Ambarnoje, Nizhnie Ambarnoje and Kalgosero. The average discharge is 10 m³ / s.
