Coordinates: 30 ° 45 ′ S , 121 ° 28 ′ E The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 95,575 km² and has about 31,100 inhabitants.
Kalgoorlie-Boulder is located in the southeast of the state on the border with South Australia about 550 to 1250 kilometers east of the capital Perth . The seat of the City Council is in Kalgoorlie in the district of the same name, where about 3900 inhabitants live (2016).

The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Council has 13 members. The 12 Councilor and the Mayor and Chairperson of the Council are elected by all residents of the LGA. Kalgoorlie-Boulder is not divided into districts.
