history

Kalix Bandy was created in 1990 as a merger of the bandy departments of Nyborgs SK and IFK Kalix under the name Kalix-Nyborg BK . In 1993 the team rose to the Bandyallsvenskan for the first time and was able to qualify for the championship finals in the first two seasons without playing a significant role there. After they had to participate regularly in the relegation round from 1996, but could save themselves, the team missed relegation in 2001.

Now renamed Kalix Bandy, the club managed to return to the Swedish House of Lords in 2002. Here she appeared again regularly in the relegation round and in 2005 again missed relegation. In 2007 she qualified for the Allsvenskan, which is now second class below the Elitserien , in which she was instant champion, but failed in the promotion round. In 2010/11 the championship title was won again and this time promotion to the first division was realized.
