Georgi Pavlovich Misharin ( Russian Георгий Павлович Мишарин ; born May 11, 1985 in Sverdlovsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the Continental Hockey League since August 2019 .
Career
Georgi Misharin began his career as a hockey player in the second-rate Vysschaya League , in which he was active in the 2002/03 season for Dinamo-Energija Yekaterinburg . During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2003 in the seventh round as a total of 207 players of Minnesota Wild , for which he however never played.
He then played for Saginaw Spirit and Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk . The defender then received a contract with HK CSKA Moscow in 2005 , for which he was active in the Russian Super League for a year . In the summer of 2006, the left shooter moved to HK Dynamo Moscow , for whom he played one season. From 2007, Misharin was on the ice for his ex-club HK CSKA Moscow. At the beginning of February 2011 he was signed by HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk and completed over 130 KHL games for them by 2013. In the summer of 2013 his contract expired and Misharin returned to CSKA Moscow.
