The Kalnu Park ( Lithuanian 'Kalnų parkas' ; dt. 'Park of the Mountains') is an approximately 33 hectare large public garden in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . It is located between the old town , the city center and the Antakalnis district and borders on Krivių Street in the old town district of Užupis and the Vilnia River .

The Kalnu Park includes several hills : "Trijų kryžių" ( Plikasis kalnas ) Stalo kalnas , Gedimino kapo kalnas , Bekešo kalnas (Bekes Hill). The most famous of them is the Mount of Three Crosses . The Bekes Hill is named after the former Transylvanian pretender to the throne Gáspár Bekes , who was buried there in 1579. By the end of the 19th century, erosion and flooding of the Vilnia had eroded the part of the hill with the grave. The park area is part of the Vilnius Castle Reserve . It is visited by city residents and tourists. The song festival and various other concerts are organized in Vingis Park . During perestroika (1988–1991) the peaceful protest gatherings and demonstrations of the Singing Revolution took place here.
