Antakalnis ( dt. Square on Hills , Polish Antokol ) is a district of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . In terms of area, it is the second largest district in the city.
geography
Antakalnis is in the northeast of the city and on the left bank of the Neris River .
Culture and sights
The Church of St. Peter and Paul is located in Antakalnis . The historically significant Antakalnio kapinės (Antakalnis Cemetery), where the victims of the Vilnius Blood Sunday are buried, is also located in the district.
