Kalu Rinpoche ( Tib. Kar lu rin po che ) is the title of a lineage holder in the Shangpa Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism . There are different counts.
The current 2nd Kalu Rinpoche was born (as published by himself) on September 17th, 1990 . From the 12th Tai Situ Rinpoche on March 25th, 1992 he was officially designated as the reincarnation of the famous 1st (2nd) Kalu Rinpoche , who was also recognized by the 14th Dalai Lama .
