self-governing municipality of the same name in the southern part of Lithuania . It is located around 70 kilometers southwest of Kaunas and around 140 kilometers west of the state capital Vilnius near the Polish border in the Suvalkija region . The municipality of Kalvarija includes 172 villages in addition to the city.
