Kamchatka (band)
Kamchatka is a Swedish power blues band with a trio line-up . Their sound contains influences from blues rock , stoner rock and psychedelic rock .
In 2005 guitarist Thomas “Juneor” Andersson, bassist Roger Öjersson and drummer Tobias Strandvik released their debut album of the same name. Three more albums followed every two years; Andersson and Öjersson alternated as songwriters as well as singers of the respective pieces. In 2013 the former keyboardist of the groups Opeth and Spiritual Beggars , Per Wiberg, replaced Öjersson on bass and as the second lead vocalist. The Search Goes on was released in 2014, and Long Road Made of Gold the following year .
Kamtchatka have been touring Europe extensively since they were founded, v. a. Scandinavia and Germany and often perform together with other bands, for example with Clutch or in 2016 at four concerts with the Marius Tilly Band and The Brew .
