Spiritual Beggars is a Swedish stoner metal - band .

history

The band was founded in the early 1990s by guitarist Michael Amott in Halmstad . Spiritual Beggars released their debut album in 1994. At this time Amott left the band Carcass and arranged for Spiritual Beggars a recording deal with Music for Nations . Another Way to Shine was published in 1996, Mantra III in 1998 , Ad Astra in 2000 . Then singer and bassist Spice left the band because he wanted to concentrate completely on his second project, the Mushroom River Band . He was replaced by Janne “JB” Christoffersson from Grand Magus and bassist Roger Nilsson. After On Fire , the album Demons was released in 2005 . Instead of Roger Nilsson, you can now hear Sharlee D'Angelo on bass, who also plays with Michael Amott on Arch Enemy .

On June 6, 2010 the band announced the separation from singer Janne "JB" Christoffersson. In August of the same year, the album Return to Zero was released with Apollo Papathanasio as the new singer. This is also active with the band Firewind . Apollo's second album with the Spiritual Beggars, Earth Blues , was released on April 15, 2013. The band's last and ninth studio album to date, Sunrise To Sundown , was released in Europe on March 18, 2016.
