The Nuremberg Chamber Choir was founded in 1968 as the “ St. Lorenz Chamber Choir ” and consists of around thirty-five active singers.

repertoire

The choir has taken on the care of sacred choral music of the 16th and 17th centuries as well as contemporary composers. One focus is on the interpretation of the works of Nuremberg artists ( Hugo Distler , Hans Leo Hassler ), as well as on the presentation of "unusual and rarely performed works".

musical direction

The choir has been under the musical direction of Óscar Payá Prats since January 2020.
