Kana ( Japanese 香奈 ; born January 26, 1982 in Tokyo Prefecture ), also Moon Kana (MOON 香奈 ), is a Japanese rock or visual kei singer. She describes herself as a singer , toy designer, clothing designer, illustrator and model.

Act

Their singing is unusual - sometimes screaming, screeching, sometimes breathing and sometimes squeaking. The German magazine Daisuki , well-known among anime and manga fans, quoted: Because she can look so terribly cute, you don't take it so badly that her music sometimes sounds a little like the " Sex Pistols " on Helium.

In addition to the singing, she owes her fame to her Gothic-Lolita-like clothing style. She often stood in front of the camera as a model for the magazine Gothic & Lolita Bible and presented her own designed and tailored clothes. For each new single she wears a different style of clothing, whereby the colors of the dress and the hair are color coordinated.

Another trademark of Kanas was her stuffed panda Toraboruta (Travolta), to which she dedicated the song of the same name. This stuffed panda was featured in every of her old music videos and wears clothes that matched her clothes in style and color. He has not appeared for some time, instead she has been presenting her stuffed bunnies since the album Tsuki no usagi (moon bunny). She dedicated more songs to her house cat Dragon on the album MOON Dragon .

In 2007 her first European tour, Bunny, took place. On March 3rd she gave her first concert in Munich, further concerts took place in Paris, Stockholm and Helsinki. In 2010 she gave her first concert in the USA and further concerts at the Japan Expo in Paris and at the Animagic in Bonn.

Kana owns her own label MoonKing 香奈 苺 舎 kanaichigo-SHA under which she markets her CDs, handmade stuffed rabbits , sewn cat ears, buttons and cell phone charms.
